Culinary delights at Sollererwirt

We spoil our guest with traditional delicacies made from quality produce. We value regionality and freshness.

Enjoy the peace and the view of the Kitzbühler Alps from our sunny terrace - here you can watch the cows grazing in summer in the lush fields.

Our tip for those who prefer to be inside - our 'Speckbacherstube' steeped in history, seating 24 people. For larger groups and celebrations we recommend the dining room.

'Speckbacherstube'

The name is owed to the Major Josef Speckbacher, who fought at Andreas Hofer's side in the battle at Bergisel in 1809 against Napoleon.

Sitting at the little green folding table, he wrote his appeal to the farmers to defend their homeland. Those with no weapon should take up their pitch fork, scythe and the like and march off to battle.
Today the 'Stube' is still central to our house and a favourite place for our guests to meet.

The old wood-fired oven, now a little crooked and older than the house built in 1670 – it was acquired second hand – would have many a tale to tell, if only it could ....!

Several well known people have been guests here:

Prinz Edward, Earl of Wessex and son of the English queen
The Austrian president Dr. Heinz Fischer Thomas Gottschalk
Ulrich Tukur

Harald Krassnitzer
Hansi Hinterseer
The NockalmQuintett
G.G. Anderson and more .....
